Our Panel Bed is the perfect place to hang out on. It consists of three expandable units that fit securely into the Panel Bed Rails that fit into either our Crux system or any self-build conversion with the use of our specially designed vertical strut kit. These can be positioned at any height within the rear of the van, with each panel adapting to suit the narrowing wall profile. Quick and easy to install, they require no fixings and can be stowed vertically on our Wall Brackets when not in use.
The Panel Bed is manufactured from a powder coated aluminium TIG welded frame, for optimal strength and lightweight and is topped with a choice of panels (Birch ply, Bamboo ply or Hexagrip ply). It features a sprung loaded catch to securely locate the panels into the rails and to lock them securely in place. CNC profiled top panels interlock to create a rigid surface which also features two grab holes for easy maneuverability of each unit.
Our Panel Bed is a product for life. When your van bites the dust, or you feel it's upgrade time, don't be put off by starting a new conversion from scratch. Take our products with you! Our core products have been designed with longevity in mind, so will fit any van which has crux fitted. On occasion, a few specific mounting brackets or end trims may be required to ensure a seamless fit, but we’ve done our best from the start to standardise our products for maximum compatibility. If we don't have a Crux kit for your van yet, please get in touch. It may be on our radar or it may be something you could help us develop!
