Our Units come in a range of sizes and configurations to meet your needs and house all of the kitchen elements in your van conversion.
This Unit is the medium size in our range at 860mm wide and features one drawers, one cupboard and one shelf, an aperture for a Dometic CRX50 Fridge and cutout in the worktop for a Dometic SMEV MO9722 Sink/Hob. It contains compartments to locate a steel gas locker (not supplied) suitable for storing a Campingaz 907 sized gas bottle and compartment for two 13 Litre water containers. Whilst this is our largest and heaviest Unit it can still be removed by two persons, though we do envisage many customers will make this a more permanently located Unit, as to the limited positioning within the van that it can be fitted.
Designed to be more versatile then your typical flat pack van furniture kit, our Units have the ability to be quickly and easily removed from the Crux system by the removal of only two fasteners. Our engineered approach to the kitchen unit has created a strong and rigid structure to the Unit, incorporating powder coated steel structural elements with lightweight plywood end frames, all finished with a lightweight and rigid PVC construction board. The Unit can be easily lifted in or out using the built in flight case handles to regain maximum load space when needed. The hard edges of the Unit are protected from damage by a strip of rubber T-trim on the worktop ends and a brushed stainless steel trim on the front corners.
The Unit sits on four adjustable feet, attached to the steel chassis and can be adjusted to align with other cabinets. To fit the Unit in place, two Butterfly studs with locating pins are fitted to the wall L-Track, the unit locates on these pins to fix it in position, it is then secured to the L-Track along the floor with Butterfly studs and locknuts.
The customisable options with our Units are endless. The PVC construction board comes with a smooth white finish, and can be used as supplied or have vinyl applied to it, allowing for limitless colour and material effects to be applied. The metalwork can be powder coated in one of our accent colours and there's the option to retrofit a lightweight L-Track cargo rail to the front of any Unit. The Units will come flat packed with all fasteners and fitting instructions supplied. Please note: no appliances are supplied with this kit.
Our Units are a product for life. When your van bites the dust, or you feel it's upgrade time, don't be put off by starting a new conversion from scratch. Take our products with you! Our core products have been designed with longevity in mind, so will fit any van which has Crux fitted. On occasion, a few specific mounting brackets or end trims may be required to ensure a seamless fit, but we’ve done our best from the start to standardise our products for maximum compatibility. If we don't have a Crux kit for your van yet, please get in touch. It may be on our radar or it may be something you could help us develop!
